Do you have problems with fugitive dust emissions from coal and coal ash occurring during loading, unloading, transferring, storing and other material handling procedures? Are you also worried about self-heating and combusting occuring with moisture penetration in coal stockpiles?

You are most likely required to comply with regulations as they relate to water and air quality, as well as the impact on aquatic and human health. The EPA and local regulatory agencies continue to develop stringent guidelines to protect the environment against health threats.

Midwest’s primary product, Soil-Sement® is designed specifically for dust and erosion control problems. It was developed to be environmentally safe and provide superior performance. Soil-Sement® has also been extensively used in the field and tested by several independent organizations.

Soil-Sement®
A polymer emulsion blend. Soil-Sement® “cures” and dries clear. It is considered non-hazardous per OSHA and EPA definitions. It is a milky-white liquid that requires dilution with water to aid in penetration into the surface and will completely bond the surface particles into a uniform matrix. Soil-Sement® is effective on coal and coal ash (fly ash, bottom ash) for moisture penetration, dust and erosion control, and air infiltration.

Midwest also understands that managing a program in-house can be extremely difficult. And outsourcing is not necessarily easy. We have the programs that provide either Turnkey Application Services of fugitive dust control products or a guaranteed Dust Control Service Program of monitoring and maintaining the prescribed level of dust control.
