ZERO GRAVITY THIRD RAIL® ANTI-ICING AGENT
Zero Gravity Third Rail® is designed to be applied onto third rail to prohibit ice glaze from forming so that power to train cars is not interrupted.ZERO GRAVITY THIRD RAIL® incorporates technology licensed from NASA/AMES Research Institute. This allows the material to defy the effects of gravity and keep the agent on the rail. This product application prevents stalled trains, lost revenue, and motor start/stop protecting the durability of the motor. A spray of about 2.5" - 3" wide is sufficient and about 1.5 gallon per rail mile is recommended.Application frequency should be every 2 - 4 hours unless conditions would be most severe then it may need to be every 1 - 2 hours. ICE SLICER® winter spray systems are designed to spray ZERO GRAVITY THIRD RAIL ANTI-ICING AGENT® onto third rail surfaces.These are portable or permanent systems that can be designed for revenue vehicles or maintenance vehicles with spray capabilities from very basic manual applications to full automatic applications.
