Haul Road Surface Problems and Environmental Risks Eliminated A limestone quarry and cement company in Canada was having problems with dust and rough potholed roads at their limestone quarry. In addition, they had been using a product which would wash off their roads during heavy rains, flow into streams which pass through their neighbors' properties, and flow into one of the Great Lakes. Because of this product’s high BOD, this was not acceptable. Midwest Industrial Supply, Inc. provided a cost effective Soil-Sement® Road Maintenance Program which produced a dust-free, smooth road surface and eliminated these surface problems and environmental risks and created a road surface that withstands haul road truck and plant traffic. |
