Weather is the largest contributing factor to operational problems, from switch freezing and coal sticking due to cold winter weather climates to dried out track switches causing hard to throw switches in hot or dry weather conditions.

Freeze Free®
Freeze-Free® is a family of freeze conditioning agents, custom formulated for use on coal before loading into hopper cars to enable easy unloading of coal in severe winter conditions. It comes in glycol-based, chloride-based and potassium acetate-based solutions.
Zero Gravity B-Free®
A highly effective, glycol-based side release agent designed to prevent coal and other materials from freezing to rail car interiors, truck beds, chutes hoppers and other rail equipment.
Glidex®
Glidex® track switch agent is used for lubrication of railroad switches, slide plates, throw rods, movable bridges, overhead crane rails, couplers and more! It is not water soluble and therefore cannot be washed away by rainfall or melting snow. Glidex® is non-flammable, non-corrosive, safe to use and provides long-term effectiveness. Glidex® can be easily applied by brushing, pouring, or spraying with a handsprayer. It is ideal in material handling locations as it will not harden or collect coal dust eliminating packing.
Ice Free Switch®
Ice Free Switch® is a glycol based winter agent applied to switch points, plates and switch components prior to snow or ice storms. It will remain in place to melt falling and blowing snow and prevent switches from freezing.
