When mine rock is crushed to create Silica Sand, harmful dust particles can be inhaled causing Silicosis, a respiratory disease resulting from the inhalation of crystalline silica. During crushing of crystalline silica, surface free radicals are formed and this makes the effects much worse. That is why people who do sandblasting, mining or other rock work with quartz are at risk. SoKleen® stops the harmful effects of airborne dust that occurs when Silica Sand is transported on belts, dumped from trucks or transfer points. Dust from the sand is virtually eliminated with a mixture of only one ounce of SoKleen® per 50 pounds of sand. SoKleen® penetrates dust and remains actively effective on clay, sand, gravel, limestone, mixed aggregates and most native soils, regardless of the weather. It is ideal for indoor or outdoor applications, anywhere from normal to severe traffic areas. SoKleen® is formulated using a patented HT purity process. The result is a crystal-clear advanced fluid that’s readily biodegradable in natural environments and non-toxic to humans, animals, earthworms, and marine and plant life. It is clean, oil-sheen free, colorless and odorless. SoKleen® is also economical for controlling PM10 and PM2.5 from open fugitive dust sources. It provides longer-lasting performance than alternative dust control methods, using fewer applications, and it does it all year round.
