EK35 is a synthetic fluid and binder system that is applied to any heavily-trafficked surface to keep particulate matter confined to the road surface, thereby strengthening and preserving the road, runway or pad

How it works:

EK35’s unique binding system sets it apart from all alternatives. First, the EK35 synthetic carrier fluid delivers the binder into voids in the soil and aggregate. As the EK35 fluid penetrates the surface, it uniformly coats all of the soil or aggregate particles with its adhesive agent. The binder then physically  bonds permanently to the particles as a result of a chemical reaction.  This adhesion to each soil or aggregate partical, and then the binding of all separate particles together, prevents dust emissions and fines loss. These fines (called  fugitive dust when they come loose and drift away from the road surface) are retained where they are necessary, keeping larger aggregate in place. Over time, traffic loading further tightens the surface using cohesion and adhesion mechanisms, thus increasing the CBR value, performance and longevity of the road, runway or pad.

All of these factors combine to create a product that removes a common source of significant health risk to people while reducing water usage by 100%, the need for grading by 75% and dust by up to 95%.
